THE ORIGIIN OF MY NAME

My name is Maria Cristina,
my mother call me like this because it is my grandmother's name,
but this two name separete have a lot of meaning.
The name "Maria" derives from the Ancient Greek names "Mariam and Marìa"
meaning "Bitterness, beloved and wished for child",also
from the Virgin Mary's name.
The name Cristina derives from the latin "Christianus",
meaning "christian, follower of Christ".So these name combination compose
the name Maria Cristina.
Maria Cristina was the name of two queens, one italian Maria Cristina of Savoy
that was the first Queen Consort of Ferdinand II of Two Sicilies;
The second was Maria Christina of  Austria , the Queen Consort of Spain
and after Regent of Spain.
