The origin of "Hamburger"
Hi guys, I'm back!
Today we'll discover the origin of the "Hamburger".
The term hamburger originally derives from "Hamburg", Germany's second largest city.
In German burg means "castle" and the first element of the name probably
derives from Old High German "hamma", a bend in a river, or Middle High German "hamme",
an enclosed area of pastureland. Hamburger in German is the demonym of Hamburg.
This is all,
goodbye and have a nice day!
